I Israel Pancoast of Loudoun County and State of Virginia being at present weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manners following viz ....... my will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid by executors here in after named.
Item I give devise and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Pancoast all my estate both real and personall where so ever or whatever may be found during her natural life the plantation where I now live for her to farm or let as she shall find most convienent and after her decease the same to be (sold) and devised in manners following with the rest of the estate if any.
Item I give to my daughter Mary Lacy wife of Samuel Lacy forty shilling currant money for her share.
Item I give to my daughter Sarah Lacy wife of David Lacy ten shillings currant money for her share.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph Pancoast one half of my estate after his mothers death be more or less and the remaining part to be equally divided between my son Simon Pancoast and my four daughters Hannah, Elizabeth, Anne and Prisillah (spelling here is copied) Pancoast each one to share equally alike and lastly I nominate and apoint my loving wife Elizabeth Pancoast and my son Simeon Pancoast Executors of this my last will and testament in .....whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of May, One Thousand seven and ninety five Signed sealed and declared to be his last will and testament In the presence of us James Claypoole Israel Pancoast Joseph Samuel Gregg At a court held for Loudoun County, September 14(?)th 1795 This will was proved by the oath of Joseph .urson one of the subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be certified and on the motion of Elizabeth Pancoast the executrix therein named who made oath according to Law(the executor Simeon Pancoast refusing to qualify) and together with William Roberts her security entered into aknowledge this bond in the penalty of three hundred pounds with condition as the Law directs certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate there of in duo form And at another court held for said county the 11th day of May 1804(7) the same was fully proved by Samuel Gregg another witness subscribing there to and ordered to be recorded
